Connectivity Issue affecting Milton Keynes Network

Engineers are aware of an issue that appears to be affecting some customers accessing services on our Milton Keynes (MKDC-0/MKDC-1) networks. We are not aware of any isssues on our core network and this issue is currently being investigated with further updates to follow.

Level3 have since provided an RFO after a fix yesterday:-

Root Cause: A configuration issue was impacting unprotected services.

Fix Action: The configuration was corrected, thus restoring services. 

Reason for Outage (RFO) Summary: On September 20, 2019 at 08:52 GMT, CenturyLink identified a service impact in London, United Kingdom.  The European NOC was engaged and investigated to isolate the cause. The European NOC observed that configuration error had been made during a grooming activity. The European NOC was able to remotely correct the configuration and services restored at 12:15 GMT. The European NOC monitored for stability and the Technical Repair Center will verify restoration with customers.

Level3 / CenturyLink have confirmed a fault within their network facing us.  We have implemented a temporary workaround for the moment until further notice.  Although we do not expect any further disruption at the moment this is currently being treated as at-risk.

Upon further investigation, this issue is only affecting some services at the MKDC-1 Bletchley site and relates to an issue further up from ourselves with Level3.
